It's fairly high-quality, it is this type of tiny quantity and just for a brief interval in their infancy it would not purpose any harm. I used spiced rum combined with just a little of juice (rubbed at the gums), I could believe peppermint schnapps would burn an excessive amount of and might be worsen the teething gums. But my son's affliction fairly wasn't unhealthy ample that I had to make use of it very frequently, and as others have stated, orajel (and plenty of endurance) mainly does the trick. Those apalled individuals do not know that fetal alcohol syndrome, that's a time period that is most effective been used for the beyond few many years, happens while the pregnant mom will get SLOPPY inebriated on a constant foundation for the duration of such a lot of, if now not the whole, being pregnant. You are not hurting your youngster so long as you are now not overdoing it, and do not allow any individual purpose you to doubt your self. (I am NOT condoning ingesting for the duration of being pregnant... I did not drink a drop for the duration of both of mine... however SMALL quantities are not going to purpose any harm. Many eu cultures drank not anything however "meade" for hundreds of years on account that of the way stanchy the water used to be of their un-plumbed towns, and right here we're at present.)

For mom or dad, I recommend a nice glass of wine or some whiskey.
For the baby, I recommend Hyland's Teething Tablets but no alcohol until s/he is 21 years old or at least a sneaky teenager.

You should not under any circumstances give your baby any alcohol to ease teething pain. That's what baby orajel is for. Also, try giving your baby infant tylenol or motrin, call your pedatrican for the recommended dosage.
Alcohol can have severe lifelong affects on your child, even if it's a little bit. It can cause liver damage and may cause mental retartation, as well as immunity problems. It's just as bad as drinking alot of alcohol while you're pregnant.

It is very dangerous to give your baby any kind of alcohol, not to mention against the law. Use a topical gel, like Baby Orajel, available at the grocery store, or BabysRUs. You can also give a limited amount of infant tylenol (please ask your peditrician for correct dosage) to help with the pain long term. Give your baby a teething ring or a rag with cold water for him/her to chew on, this also helps. Do not use Motrin or products with acetomenaphin until your child is two years old. Asprin is not recommended until the age of 17. Good luck!

Don't give any to the baby, use teething gels and teething toys. etc.
Now for the parents anything will do. Try a good shot of Jack Daniels, or substitute a favorite whiskey. It will help stable you for the long haul of teething pains!

thats an old wives tale, i wouldnt give any child especially a kid thats young enough to be teething ANY alcohol. Dont listen to whoever you heard say that crap.. it doesnt take much to give a child Alcohol poisoning. wet a clean white washcloth and freeze it, let then chew on that, or a teething ring, or infant orajel, dont use clove oil either, its too strong for baby gums... Childrens Tylenol is good too

No alcohol. They make a tooth ache medicine called numz-it . I am sure their are others but I don't know the names. Get it at the grocery store or pharmacy. You apply it to the sore area and it will numb it and relieve the pain for awhile.
