I don't even have any children of my own. I was asking from a legal/political persective.

By actually spending time with your children when they are online. Otherwise don't have a computer in your house if you don't want to be a responsible parent. It's not everyone elses job to raise your children.
EDIT: The only assurance from a legal/political perspective is by not going into chat rooms and not showing your online status to anyone other than family/friends. Do not give out personal information. Do not meet anyone in person from a chat room. These all seem obvious but if they do not, consider not using a chat service until you feel mature and able enough to know inappropriate online behaviour.

Design a couple of chat places just to lure predators, have the police on line and then go nab them. Or someone else could do a trace & the go put a bullet between the eyes. Sorry, but euthanasia is the only way to make it safer.

Sexual predators will always be around.........the main thing for parents and youth to do.......is be vigilant.......do not give your personal info out on a chat line...do not meet with a person from a chat line.parents hould monitor the use of the pc......

You better use Skype. They specify their ages. You can look or search for somebody your age.

put yourself on invisible and only let your friends know what they can't see can't help them.never answer any queastions unless you know who your talking too.and all pictures are false,they will offer you deals you can't refuses,beware
