Society puts so much imphasis on it being bad...Damn...Humans have "needs". I'd rather do that everytime I get horny than go **** some dude..lol. Everyone does it and it's no secret...plus, it's healthy.

People are accustom to being told it's wrong, so no one else really talks about it - so many are afraid to be the first to admit it. Plus guys are shamed by it, b/c even though it seems more socially acceptable for them to fess up to the deed, it's ussually done as a last resort b/c they don't have the odds in their favor the way women do, when it comes to going on and just finding an agreeable partner...

I think because, it's considered sinful and desperate. You have to lust over something, someone, or some memory to get turned on.
I mean I wouldn't want to do it all of the time...wouldn't that get boring...no variety, no excitement.

I think we hide it because we live with family. You don't want to do it around your parents or kids. If you do it around a loved one, they may feel insulted that they can't pleasure you. Hell, my friends know I do it. I can post it on here, but I don't dare to tell my folks

It has been driven into peoples heads that it is a shameful act. My wife has never maturbated in her life. She was told it was nasty. I admit I have, but not since I have been married.

Yeah, but most people are taught as children that its wrong/gross/ or a sin and then they have hang ups about it when older.
