To be really honest, I'm a down to earth guy and just want some one to sometimes think about me. People don't understand when your soul mate dies 8 years ago. What a sad person I am!

You're not sad. What's happened to you is sad. But your partner wouldn't have wanted to see you feeling so down after all this time.
You just need to get out there and experience life again. Lots of people have suggested volunteer work which i think is a fab idea. Meet new people by helping the less fortunate. It's a start anyway... And there's plenty of clubs or groups you could join as well. What have you always wanted to do? Go on, try it!
Just don't give up. You've been through one of the worst things imaginable, there must be a rainbow soon.

I understand, mine died 3 years ago. I keep really busy, that is what keeps me going. Just plug away and and spend time wallowing in it. You may need anti depressants, talk to your doc. Do volunteer work, that always makes you feel better. Answer questions on this, lots of people are in need of human contact. Help yourself by helping others and get out of the house. Its the only way to move on.

Sorry about your soul mate but he would not have wanted you to mourn for him for ever he would have wanted you to move on and be happy, you have to look for happiness, you will always have your memories, you need to meet someone else now.

well u must get more involved with ur friends and family.if u work get out with ur work colleagues.nobody is truely alone in the world but u must make the effort with people and as corny as it sounds............life really does go on
