i'm doing the song big spender with my girlfriends, we've been practicing it, is it too trampy, because if it is we can't do it at a talent show. We've been practicing it and boys were hooting so is it trampy?

School programs, whether it's choir, plays, or whatever have been doing it for years.

Since it comes from a 1964 musical (Sweet Charity) I don't see how it could be considered trampy. It's a 42 year old song and compared to some of the disgusting stuff out today, it's really a cute song. Go for it!

Well, the song "Big Spender" is from the Broadway show "Sweet Charity," which is about women who work in a dance hall. They get paid money to dance with men. It is suggested in the play that the women do "other things" with men fo money as well.

This show recently played here in Los Angeles with Molly Ringwald in the lead role of Charity.

If this is for a school talent show, then this content may not be suitable.

You can do it, but it's sooooo trampy. "I don't pop my cork for every guy I see." That's pretty trampy.
