Hello Southern Neighbor, Up North is remains the same. The weather is turning colder now and sometimes we see snow flurries. Fishing in the trout streams are good. Getting colder now and they are still biting. I caught five last week. So good to eat. I used to pickle them, but this year I have been limited. The leaves are falling off the maple trees and sometimes there is frost on the windows of my vehicle. The political issues remain the same divided crap. We will be voting for our Govenors on November 7, So we will see now if the Donkey's win or the Elephants . Farmers are picking the corn and preparaing the soil for next years crops. Pheasant hunting is going on and also we can hunt deer with bow and arrows. It is getting colder way up here in the North and our furnaces are clicking in. Our three legged cat does not want to go out at nights anymore. No more Robins around as they have flown down your way. Thank you for askiing. Take care my Good neighbor and stay well.

to what border are you referring . if it is the canadian border, all is well up here . i am from port victoria , saskatchewan and it is getting cold up here . i am located at the extreme northwest of the province. i have been living here ever since i fled the U.S. during the vietnam war. i would like to be repatriated some day but i am afraid they will start drafting 60 year old men and i am still as cowardly now as i was back then. i am planning on coming back as soon as i turn 65 so that i may collect social security which i feel i am entitled to since i worked for almost 6 months after i quit college. if i had not fled for my life i could have stayed down there and partied and smoke pot and work as an accountant. in my fathers firm. but it hasn't been all that bad. how about you ?

Well, I'm from Hamilton Ontario and we're having municipal elections right now. And in our city, we have a scandal brewing about corruption in City Hall. Oh my shattered nerves! Who would have thunk it? Anyway with our Native land claim disputes, police troubles, and corrupt politicians it's pretty well business as usual up here! How about down south? I hope it's saner there, but judging from the questions and comments I wouldn't be so sure. Perhaps what both our countries need is an infusion of common sense from people who work for a living, pay taxes, and live in the real everyday world.

Hello down there,(I'm assuming you're in the US). As one of the answerer's said, there's alot of politics going on up here as well as down in your country. We are getting ready for what we call "Remembrance Day" Nov.11, where we honour our soldiers, past and present. Other then that, we'll be hibernating for the winter and pop our collective heads out of a melting snowbank when May arrives. lol
