You do not have to, but without the memory card, you cannot save the progress of any games - forcing you to re-start the game each time you turn on the game-cube.

I would recommend that you buy a memory card with the game-cube. 64mb is plenty to get you going.

enjoy

No you don't have to buy a memory card for your gamecube if you choose not too. HOWEVER, the only way that you can keep current, saved data of the games you play, you will need a memory card to store it. For example, if you play Mario Kart: Double Dash, you will advance through the game and gain extra features such as more cars and arenas to play in. However, if you don't save this data to a memory card, you will loose everything that you have earned.

Not really but if you want to save games, I would recommend that you do. You only need one memory card. It would be a pain to start a game from the beginning every time especially if your almost finish the game.

Only if you don't want to start every game from the beginning every time you turn it on.

Here's a tip- buy Animal Crossing. It comes with a free memory card, and since it's older, it's almost as cheap as buying a card by itself.

yes. It's called an upsell. They don't profit much from the sale of the gamecube, they profit from the attachments, games memory cards, etc.

Yes, unless you don't want to save the game... in which case you'll be playing it over and over again from the start.

You don't have to but you won't be able to save your games if you don't.
