every SINGLE american in this country is an immigrant from Britain... so why are you bathmouthing other immigrants? especially mexicans? at least they didnt kill anyone while coming here! i dont understand this, should we be more helpful cause our ancestors were immigrants and illegal because this wasnt their land!

We're immigrants of more than Britain. The hype is about illegal immigrants.
And if there were laws back then about immigration, they would have been pissed at the Europeans as well.

Here is the difference:
Our ancestors "immigrated" by legal process. When they arrived on Ellis Island they were processed through our laws. They didn't just get off the boat and wander around NYC>
There are many people living in the USA that have legally immigrated here. They are the role models that the illegal aliens should emulate.
The people coming into this country illegally should be held to the same standard. Apply for immigration and move here LEGALLY.
Until then I call these people "Illegal Aliens" NOT "Illegal Immigrants" because they are not following the law of our land. Also, know that these illegals are taking away jobs from certain sectors of our society because they can be paid a lower salary (and it is not being reported to the IRS). They are also getting free health care each time they come in to have babies or need treatment for medical or surgical reasons. Do you think they are paying for this? No, you and I are paying the price !

While I'm sure you have good intentions with this question you can not compare what happened well over 400-600 years ago to the present day. No one is talking about immigrants since nearly everyone in America is one. We are talking about ILLEGAL immigrants and Mexicans just happen to be at the top of the list for that cateogory.
Yes, most Americans are of British descent along with a few other European groups and yes, they did come over to America in search of a new life and home much like what Mexicans and others do to this day. The difference is the time period and situations associated with it. America was brand new and wasn't really colonized by anyone except the Indians so merely coming here wasn't a crime and there was no law against it. Over time things changed as they have a tendency to do so. We now have laws that prevent people from just wandering into a country unchecked.
They serve a purpose. Oh and Mexicans have killed in order to get into this country. I'm quite sure the men and women of the Border Patrol people would disagree with you since their lives are put at risk every day defending the border from ILLEGAL immigrants. They have also raided and broken laws in order to accomplish there goal of getting into the country. Mexicans and others are bad mouthed because they are illegal and do illegal things in order to get in our country. Recently the Border partol group have uncovered several cave-like structures/tunnels spanning the length of 3-5 football fields underground which emptied out onto beaches, abandoned warehouses, open-wooded, etc.... The structures were filled with fully operated fans for ventilation and had trolleys stretched out for miles. They were used to transport illigeal immigrants and drugs into the country. That's just one example.
A Transporting scheme was broken a few months ago. They were using the airports to smuggle people in and disperse them into the country, flying them anywhere. It originated in Vancouver,Cananda and from there they could go anywhere after they paid for the tickets.
Or how about huge barge ships carrying crates of illegal immigrants off the the shores of California caught doing human trafficking.
Here is the effect illigal immigrants have on the economy. Values are brought down, jobs are filled up, taxes are raised. You have a good cause but we'll see how passionate you are about immigrants when you find yourself paying more then usual in taxes or your home area is being overrun with violence exposing your kids to somthing you'd wish they never had to see, the value of your living area is reduced andnow resembles a ghetto endangering yourself and family, or not being able to get a job because illigal immigrants want to try and have rights to a country they don't even belong to and feel they deserve equal treatment simply because they are in a country. Please. They want a free ride which is a mockery and blantant show of disrespect towards those of us who work hard and serve our country unconditinally.
School systems and jobs are changed just so you can understand illegal immigrants because they don't speak english in a english dominant country. You have to know another language just to graduate or get hired these days and they are illegal so that means they don't pay taxes. ILLEGAL immigrants don't have rights period, therefore they will continue to be badmouthed and if they don't like then they should just leave.
If they feel that passionate about our country then they should get a Green Card like everyone else and start acting like citizens of a country worth dying for. Until then....deal with it.

The whole "talking" is not about immigration.
The problem is LEGALLY or ILLEGALLY !
No one is against immigration.
Just get in line behind everyone else who is trying to come into the country..........LEGALLY !!!!!
The whole problem seems to be MEXICO.
Not the people from Mexico.....they just want a better life. The government of Mexico needs to change.
