It all depends on what the consumer is looking for and let me just add that the Playstation 3 is not even out yet so no one except Sony can let you know how good it is. I think as of right now the console that has the edge in the next-gen war is the XBOX360 mainly because it's been out for about a year now and its given the game developers time to work with the graphics. There are more than 100 games out for it already which is kind of fixing the problem of the first XBOX and with such exclusives as "Gears Of War" and "Halo 3" you can't really go wrong. If you want to talk about graphics just look at the "Gears of War" trailer or the "Lost Planet" trailer and you too would be impressed. The online features are pretty damn cool, I love the fact that you can download any demo you want and the XBOX Live Arcade is awesome with classic games coming out for it every month. Yeah you have to pay about $50 to $60 bucks a year but if you can afford a $400 console than it really is no biggie. The PS3 however does have many standard features that the 360 sells seperately. If you actually add up all the cost of the features on the 360 with those of the PS3 you will see that the PS3 is actually cheaper at its $600 price. For example the PS3 ($600 pack) comes with a Blu-Ray player built in, integrated wireless, and a 60 gb hard drive and does'nt charge for online game play. The 360 ($400 premium pack) comes with a 20gb hard drive, you can buy another 20gb HD for $100, the wireless option for networking costs another $100, HD-DVD Drive is $200, and XBOX Live Gold costs $50 to $60 a year. I like that the 360 gives you the options to have the features rather than making you buy them like the PS3. I personally don't want to restart my DVD library and make a change to next-gen dvd players and even with all the additional expenses for the 360 I would still take it because quite frankly it's proved itself.

PS3 even though the price for games is higher, the quality is better. It has blue ray, Which makes every detail more lively. Also, it has free internet, and can be made into a wifi access point but you have to pay for xbox live. Also, there are many uses with the PSP too. It can also play PS1 and Ps2 games plus your favorite CD and DVD. It has motion censers, but cant vibrate anymore. PS3 will still have game s for PS2(final fantasy, kingdom hearts) and you dont have to buy a blue ray disc player for $1000 because PS3 can do it.

if you like online play, definitely the 360. The new Xbox live is out of this world. If you just like sitting by yourself playing then get the PS3 because it has better graphics but the online play is bad and lag, lag, lag. Sony admitted this itself. If you like geek technical features then get the PS3. But, if you just like playing games all around then get the 360. Oh, and one more thing for the 360. HALO. HALO HALO. There is the greatest game in the world only for 360. And, if you like halo and age of empires, there is a new halo coming out called Halo wars, ONLY ON 360. If you like halo, get the 360, cause microsoft is never going to give halo up to sony.

Depends what games you're interested in. I am a playstation fan, myself. Take a look at the games lineup and that should help you choose. Both are going to have good graphics, etc., etc., etc. But some games will only be on one platform or the other. If they're both the same to you, get the PS3.
