I needed a free day so I coughed until Tuesday and took Wednesday off. Coming back on Thursday, three others had phoned in to say they had contracted my bad cold and had to take the rest of the week off.

No way! Everyone needs a day to themselves. Sounds like the other three needed some time off too. LOL

Hey, we all do it. In this crazy world of work, doing ten things at once and getting no where. It is a great way to keep your sanity and get a much needed paid day off work.

Germs spread in all different kinds of way. About a month ago I got pnemonia and then a couple weeks later a co-worker of mine got it. She accused me of giving it to her but pnemonia isnt contagious. So its easy to place blame on others. But this time of year you just never know. And could get it from anywhere. You made up your illness...they probably did too. You can not pass on something that isnt even real. Or maybe its in their head hahahahaha! No dont feel guilty. Just be mad if you have to take on their work load!

LOL that is hysterical!!! No you shouldn't feel guilty...you are obviously an honest good person, and we all need a personal day off from time to time. It is a shame however that we feel like we have to lie to our employers' to get a personal day. Don't feel bad, I am sure you deserved the day off!!!

I would only feel guilty if you think your job is a good deal - if your employer exploits you at all or the pay is poor then don't feel guilty at all!

Just think - you have started the world's first fictional plague!

You know, germs are out there and we are all exposed everyday unless you never leave home and even then you can get sick. So just figure that is how it is when you are amoung people. Who's to say they got sick from you and not their kids, husband/wife etc.
