It shouldn't be too dangerous. You are more likely to develop gestational diabetes and high blood pressure, both of which are manageable.
It might interfere with conception but not too likely at your size unless you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, which is a cause of obesity and of trouble with conception (but it's not the obesity that causes the trouble with conception- it's the PCOS that causes both)
If I were you I would probably go on a balanced weight-loss diet, nothing too extreme, making sure you're getting all the food groups and lots of good food and quit the diet as soon as you find out you are pregnant.

I weighed about the same when I got pregnant 27 weeks ago. My husband and I had to constantly see docs because we had to do in-vitro, and never once did I have a doc tell me to lose weight. I have been active for years, going to the gym and walking, and I have no underlying problems.
So far I have gained about 18 lbs and I have 3 months left. My doc has not told me once about watching my weight. I try to eat well and keep moving. Just watch what you eat and try to get some exercise in, like walking or swimming.
And also, the docs always check the blood pressure and sugar levels with every visit. They do the diabetes test between 24 and 28 weeks unless there are risk factors. With me, I had to do it at my first visit because it runs in my family. There was no problem. I will be doing it again for the usual check. My bp has been great and have had a pretty decent/normal pregnancy.
By the way, my mom was taken out of work and put on bed rest because her bp went too high, and she was at a healthy weight. I on the other hand, being heavier, have not. Everyone's different.
Good luck!

I am overweight and Concieveing wasn't a problem. The books all say you should only gain about 15 lbs while pregnant while other women are allowed to gain 30. I did gain 30lbs while pregnant (My Dr. said my weight gain while pregnant was fine) and almost 2 years later I still haven't got rid of that last 5 lbs. (it just won't go away) lol. I had a great pregnancy! No complications at all. Good Luck

Some of the best advice I ever got was to loose weight before I conceived. I wasn't over-weight but would have been by the time I gave birth. It's dangerous to become over-weight while pregnant due to the risk of diabetes. Yes, it's manageable, but do you want to risk hurting your baby because you were in a hurry to get pregnant? I lost 30 lbs before having my baby, gained 37 during pregnancy but now am back down to the weight I was when I found out I was pregnant and only gave birth about 7 weeks ago. Loosing weight before hand made it a lot easier to loose the baby weight and was better for my baby.

If you're overweight it can interfere some with your ability to conceive and you will have an increase risk of high blood pressure which can sometimes cause scary problems. I knew a woman that ended up having to deliver 5 weeks early because her blood pressure just became too high and was on extremely boring bed rest for two weeks before (no TV or reading even!). Overweight women also have an increase risk of gestational diabetes. However, if you do get pregnant, your ob/gyn can refer you to a dietician or start you out on the gestational diabetes diet right off the bat. I was told by a nurse that women who go on this diet tend to maintain their weight very well throughout their pregnancy. Good luck to you!

CONSULT any Gynaecologist specialising in fertility clinics. A few tests and you will know the corrections, if any, needed to facilitate a smooth conception. Meanwhile, use some lime juice cordial without water on a daily basis. It will shrink you in a reasonable way without sesrious sidfe effects. Fat women tend to be less fertile, as much as starving women become over fertile. That is natiure's correcting mechanism in action.

You should loose weight before you conceive. Taking care of a new borne is very, very tiring when one is of normal weight. Being overweight will complicate the situation and then that is when frustration comes in and that is not good for the baby. If you haven't lost weight, yet, for yourself or your husband, do it for the baby to come.

No, it is not dangerous, unless you have underlying medical conditions. Check things out with your gynecologist, to see if your hormones are all fine, that your periods are regular and that you are ovulating. Sometimes obese women can have a condition called PCOS which can cause problems with fertility, but there are other symptoms.
