its when people are truly happy that they seem to be radient or glowing. i would try to feel good by looking good because youll always try to look better (plastic surgery; if i could just change my weird nose i can finally be happy, sounds pretty stupid no matter what body part you say) to look good is a neverending quest unless you go the route of acceptance and liking yourself as you are.

My wife and I are both disabled so there are days when we feel really bad and then there are days when we are able to do more. I've found that if I can get myself up and dressed & looking decent,I do feel better about myself anyway. On the bad days, I try but sometimes nothing helps. Basically, looking good does give a person more self confidence & they tend to carry themselves differently when they feel like they look good.I think this can be true for men & women.

It can be both, but usually looking good helps you feel good, or at least better, if you're physically ill/in pain and have to move about anyways.

I think you have to feel good in order to look good. Have you ever noticed the way a woman can change the way she walks when she has a new outfit on. (That's why I don't look in mirrors!)
