How can i get a job teaching English in Cuba?
I want to travel to Cuba and teach English to the citizens.I know that the United states still has an active embargo act on the country, however many people have found ways to visit the country. I want to know if you know of any resources that i can checkout to teach and visit the country. I want to travel during the summer. Please site all sources. Thank you

As you can tell by the previous answers to your questions what a bunch of ignorant americans have answered. Go through Canada and the Cuban embassy in Ottawa. Cuba will welcome you with open arms, but many Cubans already speak english and other languages. You will not be able to use an American Credit Card there and don't have your passport stamped which they will honour.

If you are an American citizen are you asking to revoke your citizenship and move permanently to Cuba? You will not get permission to travel to Cuba and they probably will not hire an American to teach English since there are lots of other options available to them. Plus, English is probably not a high demand language.

Just go there get a room, a cell phone, and up date your resume and go to every English school you see and give them your resume. Most schools are all school wants to know are you ready to start now ! They rather hire somebody right away, who ready to go and who is already in their country. Millions of resume comes to them daily and all they have is that, and a picture. There nothing like a employer meeting you face to face. Take the risk, just like I did, it's worth it. And go dress to impress ! And have some fun while your handing out your resume and meeting people. Hang out at your local, church. cafe, schools, and pass out a flyer, card for private tutoring classes. Think outside the box and get creative, having a TESOL would be great asset to you also. It worked for me and it can work for you ! I've been to over 20 countries, it's worked for me, time after time. And the most important thing to remember, trust in the lord Jesus and he will bless you where every you go around the world to teach. He did it for me and he will do it for you.
