My cross street neighbor rents a room to this girl, and she keeps parking her car on our side right in front of my house instead of park back on her side, that is inconvenient to us. We talked to the neighbor already, and asked her to let the girl know, but today, she just did that again. Any suggestion?

Left the note and talked to the owner already, she keeps on doing. Sounds like nothing can be done, since some of you mentioned the street is public. BTW, thanks for the responds.

Although it might annoy you, it's really up for grabs. That is a public street, and nobody has parking rights there.
You may have to make friends with the girl who is actually parking there, and ask her to park back a little further, or up a little further, so that she is not right in front of your house. But make friends with her first. Otherwise, you may as well spit in the wind.

This totally depends on where you live, what kind of neighborhood it is. If it's a public street, Native New Yorker (I'm one, too) is right - anybody has the right to park anywhere they want. If it's a private street, like in a gated community, where each house is assigned specific parking places, then it is up to your neighbor (the landlord) to enforce the regulations with his tenant. If he doesn't, then you have the right to complain to whoever it is that is in charge of your neighborhood (like a HOA).
I wouldn't get into anything with the tenant directly. Either accept the situation, or file a complaint through proper channels. Unless the person is violating an established community rule, your inconvenience is not enough to make anyone do something they don't want/have to.

Could be that your neighbor didn't talk to her. I agree, leave her a note on her windshield and speak with her about it. If you explain, POLITELY, why her parking there is inconvenient for you, I'm sure she'll move the car to a better location.
After that, if she doesn't move, you might have to put on your "gorilla suit" although what exactly your recourse would be, I don't know because I don't know all the details of the situation.

except you stay in an residence complicated with assigned parking for voters and travellers, or a gated community with assigned parking in line with parcel, there is not something you are able to do. you do not 'own' public parking in basic terms because that is in the front of your abode. you may want to ask him to go away your spot open, yet then he'd park a house or 2 away and annoy somebody else probably, a twin of your organization probably annoys someone 2 or 3 homes away even as they arrive to confirm you.

If she is parking on a public street, in front of your house or not she has the right to park there.
I have the same problem with my neighbors and there is nothing you can do.
The street is public.

If it is a public street, there is probably nothing you can do about it. Maybe you can buy an ugly old rusted beat-up car and part it in front of your neighbor's house and leave it there permanently.

You do not own the street and cannot control who and where the cars are parked on it.

Talk to your home owners association. There may be something they can do. Either that or leave a note on her car asking her to move it.

if anyone in your house is disabled, you can have timed parking signs placed there. since your vehicle is most likely registered to your home address, it will be the only one allowed to park there for more than the allotted time. after all... it worked for my mother!
