Nope. I don't think so. He's already faced suspensions and fines but I think he should compensate Steve Moore for what he did.

As much as I hate Bertuzzi (I'm a Flames' fan; I have my reasons) I think it's time to let the whole Steve Moore incident go. The only reason Bertuzzi was ever suspended in the first place was because Moore got knocked out and injured. If he'd gotten up right away, there would have been none of the backlash that we've seen in the last 3 years. (****, has it really been that long?) Bertuzzi hasn't been the same since, will never be the same, and I think that's punishment enough for him.

Dude, that was over a year ago. You didn't get news of it now, did you? Did you just leave your rock? Where've you been?
And no, I don't think Bertuzzi should be banned from hockey. He was legitimately sorry about the incident, and has moved on. Now, if only Steve Moore can move on instead of being a pansy about it by trying to sue him.

It's over and done with. Forget about it. Dale hunter never got banned for hitting Pierre Turgeon from behind some 10 years ago. Mcsorley never got banned, though he was too much of a pussy to come back. No one is going to get banned.
If anything, keeping Bertuzzi is a benefit. Unlike Hunter and McSorley, Bertuzzi can score and make his team better.
BUT, if he were to do it AGAIN than we will talk..

Bertuzzi's hit was dirty, but do you know what happened before that? Moore gave a very dirty hit to Vancouver Captain Markus Naslund. It gave him a concussion and he was out for 3 games. I'm not saying the damage was equal, but I will say if some one did something like that to some one I cared about or loved they would regret it. Bertuzzi wanted Moore to know he couldn't get away with it. I don't blame him for getting revenge on Moore. I do blame him for getting carried away with it and hurting Moore so badly. I truly don't think he meant to give the guy more than a busted nose and a couple of black eyes. I don't think he realized his own strength and all the adrenaline and anger got mixed up in it.
His captain was hurt. A guy he looks up to and loves.
I think Bertuzzi has had part of his punishment. The other part is he has to live with himself for the rest of his life knowing what he did to Moore. That in itself is enough.
So to anwer your question I do think Bertuzzi should be aloud to play again. He did what any of you would have done if it happened to some one you love, he simply got carried away.
Below I have some links that I found which includes a video of the whole incident. Moore's awful hit on Naslund is first in the video and the rest of it is Bertuzzi's devastating hit on Moore.
Also, there is a link to an article I found on the whole thing. You should all check it out.

give it up roadrunne... if you don't ;like it don't watch it OK enough is enough. IT WILL ALWAYS BE PART OF THE GAME. YOU PROBABLY GOT KNOCKED OUT ALL THE TIME THAT'S WHY YOUR SO AGAINST IT. if you where a real real hockey fan then you wouldn't want to banned fighting, but you want it out so you must be new to this game my game so stop bugging about the fighting cause ill.................
like john disque said it goes way before that if you follow the game Moore hit Naslund and backed away from everyone the rest of the night. were hearing about it cause Moore keeps finding these new Layers to try and get money. well if he wants money that bad maybe Burtuzzi should give him one months of his paid salary to Moore cause that's all he would of ever gotten if he would of never gotten injured cause he was only going to be a call up player mostly play in the farm and maybe in Europe that's all. GIVE IT UP, ITS OVER.

He should have got a lot more than he did. But the real thing that should be banned is fighting. If fighting was banned, the incident would never have happened.
There are many good reasons to ban the barbaric barehanded knuckle to the face. Check the link below.

Who didn't like the riots in Montreal when the Rocket was suspended?
In other words I think this question is yesterday's news.
And no I don't think he should have been banned, there were two sides to that incident as unpleasant as it was.
Let's drop it already.....geeeeez!
