Hi PiePiePie.....I am marrying a local (jgirl). we fell in love and had a steady relationship before deciding to take the wedding vows)...I am wondering about legal pros and cons of marrying in japan.

Getting married there are no real legal pros or cons. Except no blood test.

Getting divorced however....THATS another story.

Your marriage will be recognized internationally by law so what matters is what country you will stay in and visa things.

Con- Japan is UNGODLY expensive!!!!!

Pro- If you’re marring a Nihonjin- you’ll be marring into an amazing cultrue!
