A narrative exploration of guilt, The Beautiful Lie tells the story of Claire, who is trying to escape troubling memories of the prior evening, while dealing with her failing relationship. All the while, visions of the night before plague her and intensify until her past and present collide.
Bio
Born in Seattle, WA in 1983, Joshua Caldwell has been engaged in filmmaking for eight years. Beginning with screenwriting, he then moved into directing and film production in high school where he created several different film projects, including American Tragedy: an award-winning film on teen suicide; an award-winning school leadership film, and an award-winning documentary on the college application process. Additionally, Josh was also a school ASB Activities Coordinator (school government) for Bellevue High School, where he created five ASB Leadership films in two years. In 2001 Josh founded Meydenbauer Entertainment, his production company. Currently a senior at Fordham University in New York City, Josh has written, produced and directed thirteen short films, eight of them within the past four years.
