Most of the home pregnancy tests available now will give an accurate result 4 days before your next period is due. So if your period is due Nov 6th then you can take the test now and it should be accurate.

Ok first things first. Alot of times you cant tell ur pregnant by symtoms just yet cause it is a little early. sometimes you might get one or 2 symptoms. your breast may seem tender or sore. and you could feel tired. the other thing,,all pregnancy tests work. But each test detects different amounts of the hcg hormone that is found in your urine when you are pregnant. for example one that you get at the dollar store will detect hcg hormones up to 50 where one that you get that is well known like EPT may detect up to 15 or 20. The more hcg that a test has to detect more chances of it being negative. The best test to get would be the EPT first responce. it will tell you on the outside of the box that you can test 5 days before your expected period. september 5th i was suppose to start. but my periods are funny every few months. well september 18th i was sorta wondering cause my breasts were sore and i had been tired. so i bought one a cheap one and it turned out positive. then i bought a good one. and it said the same thing. and now im 3 months pregnant. you can test now it wouldnt hurt to know. just remember get ready incase its positive. and if this is what u want, make an appointment as soon as you can. and remember if the test comes out negative retest in another week. if you still dont start, i would suggest seeing the doctor incase something is wrong. even if your not pregnant you want to make sure that you are in good health.. good luck

First Response Early Result is the most sensitive, and works on the first day of your missed period. For any other test, you have to be a week late.
The tests measure the hCG levels in your body, and you have to wait that long for the level to be high enough to be read.

I had a period the whole 9 months I was pregnant with my daughter so that doesn't mean didly poo. Those pregnancy tests you get at the drug store can tell as early as a few days. The cheapest place to get them is at 99c stores - yes they carry them there. Good luck to you and if you want a baby I'm happy for you. If you don't want a baby - RUN FOREST RUN.

No it's not too early , I would not buy a test at the 99 cent store, those are hella cheap and may be old or unaccurate.
