mY DAUGHTER AND SON really love Calliou. Me myself I can not stand him.
I think he is a whinie little bratt. I swear in every episode he whines about something.
Is it just me or should this show be taking off of pbs ? What does it teach the children.
In just about every episode he dosen't listen to his mother to.

This is so funny because I feel the same. He doesn't behave at all. He does whine all the time. I know for a fact he teaches small children to do alot of the things he does. There is a particular episode where he dumps a bag of flour on the living room rug. My daughter's child took a bag of flour and did the exact same thing. I completely agree with you.

My sister, she's 10, she STILL watches the show. It's really really weird, we have a big age difference and I'm so happy I didn't have to grow up with that. I hate the show, he is incredibly whiney and I really wish that I could just turn the channel, but NOOOO, she likes it...geez, I don't know what it's teaching kids, probably to do bad things and whine more. Just what every parent needs.

It's not just you. He is whiny and mean to his sister. The parents hardly work...unless it's convenient to have a day care episode.

I promise. This too shall pass.

Calliou free for four years!

Haha. My wife also has a vendetta against Cailliou, mainly because in one episode the mom talks about makeup and afterwards our 4 year old daughter started asking about makeup and lipstick and stuff. The wife did not appreciate that "lesson" very much.

Or you could simply not let them watch it. TV off when that show is on or if they refuse to obey, cancel the cable/satellite for a while.

I share your complaint. I was so happy when my kids grew too old to want to watch it!

Lol, so true.
My little cousin used to look at it, but we couldn't stand it/him.
