what can a person do in the real world for a job with a minor in psychology or religon?

Well, either one would be good for a counseling career, although some types of counseling require specific credentials. Church youth projects? Work with drug and alcohol addicts? Writing for church publications on the needs of the family and various problems which may not be appropriate to take to a "worldly" psychologist? Perhaps a church-sponsored adoption agency?

depends really. what was your major? reason being is that the previous two offered the job of counselor which is probably your best bet. not really sure what the religion wil get you except a job teaching religious studies or something. faith based counseling is essentially what pastors/preachers/fathers/bishops and whoever they call themselves do. there is really no further need for faith based counseling unless it's to combat some terrible deed the above mentioned people did. BUT whatever your major was, you can possibly parlay that with your minor and get into some sort of focused counseling position. let's face it, regardless of what you think/know/believe, everyone everywhere is messed up to a certain extent and requires help. those who deny help or believe they don't need it are obviously the first choice as to who gets the most attention. either way, whatever your major was there inevitably has to be some sort of help group for them seeing how not many people can either cope with their job or whatever so they'll need someone to talk to.
