Are you breastfeeding?
Are your breasts engorged? Hard and swollen?
Or could you have a breast infection or a plugged duct?

That sounds like normal engorgement to me if your baby is very young (less than a month) and it has been like that since your milk came in.

If your baby is older and it hasn't been like that before you might have a plugged duct. If that is the case some places will be more tender than others and it might be red. You also might have an elevated temperature and feel achy and flu-like. If you think you have a plugged duct you could see a doctor but you don't have to unless you are feeling ill and have a fever- then see a doctor because you might have mastitis, which requires antibiotics.

In any case, the best thing to do is nurse often!! Also putting cabbage leaves inside your bra. You can also express some milk in the shower or try pumping some if your baby is not hungry and your breasts hurt.

You need to see a Medical Doctor. It may be nothing but then again if it is something it is better to catch it early. You stand a better chance when something is caught earlier. Good Luck and let's hope it isn't anything major.
