Well, about 2 months ago... i was late getting my period, had breast tenderness, nausea, fatigue, increased vaginal discharge ... every pregnancy sign, but it turned out i wasn't pregnant, i figure it was just stress..... then this month, i am having all of the same signs... the first day of my last menstrual cycle was on the 16th of September, i had a bit of spotting on October 5th and it is now November 4th and my period has yet to come... I dont really wanna go out and buy home preg. tests since i spent a fortune on them a few months ago, but could i be pregnant? or just going thru the same thing as last time? When should i take a pregnancy test?? Please help me!

The last time i was checked out was August 31st... the last time i missed my period. Unfortunately, the doctor didn't have an explanation on why i had all the symptoms of pregnancy, but wasn't pregnant... so we both assumed stress was the cause!:(

And another reason why i've waited so long is because of last time and i am known to have irregular periods, skipping months at a time, but i've never had the nausea, breast tenderness, dizziness or anything like that!!

Did you get checked by your doctor? That would be the next step, since home pregnancy tests have been negative. While it isn't common, HPTs can give false negative results. If you are pregnant, the sooner you find out, the better, so you can either access the necessary medical care to cover your pregnancy and make other decisions that surround having a baby.

There are other causes of what you're describing, including hormonal imbalances. Stress doesn't quite add up to me from what you're describing.

Call your doctor and head in for an appointment-lab tests can confirm whether or not you are pregnant and can also check for other hormonal or health imbalances that may be responsible for how you're feeling.

I had the same problem when I was under a lot of stress. I missed my period, so I thought, for 3 months. I did spot for maybe a day each month. I went to the Dr. and he told me that that one day I spotted was a period, and the stress I was under worrying that I might be pregnant was probably the reason I wasn't having normal periods. Of course, when in doubt, you should go to your dr. or take another test.

can be caused by stress or weight loss, or if you are an athlete. I went 3 months without a period but still had the cramps, pms and side affects (which got worse every month). I had lost alot of weight. And since I was worried because I have reproductive disorders in my family i went on birth control and now my period is normal.

Also eating disorders, or irregular eating can screw up your period.

I had period's the whole 9 months I carried my daughter and she came out very healthy. If you look around a lot of those 99c stores carry those tests for pregnancy. Check it out and you won't spend a fortune. Just a thought. But, the real test comes from a doctor, you know that, right?

I used to have messed up periods due to stress. Try this stress reducer. http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/cat/stress_management.html?1596!y-stress
When I use this I have regular cycles, most of the time.

good luck!

p.s. spotting is a sign that you could be preg!
