Not much different than it is today.

Our lifestyles will be a little more automated. Cars will be safer and more able to navigate and maintain themselves. You may start to see a lot more electric vehicles on the road. Broadband internet access will be available almost everywhere Televisions, telephones and computers will merge into one device, and all information will come into your home through a single cable connected to the internet. Cell phones will become more powerful, almost like small portable computers, and they'll maintain full time connections with your home computer and the internet. More and more Americans will graduate into "information technology" careers, and all students will need to be computer literate to graduate high school.

The government will probably be much the same. The two party system will continue to dominate, and politicians will continue to be elected based on how much they spend on their campaigns, as opposed to what kind of people they are. Because the parties are polarized into liberals and conservatives, and the country is split almost evenly as well, we will continue to have the "see-saw" type of control struggle between democrats and republicans. When the country starts to swing too far in one direction, voters rise up and shift it back the other way.

Wealth of the avg citizen will probably rise, but the definition of the avg citizen will probably change. Barring a major shift in resources to secure our borders and revamp immigration policy, we will continue to experience an influx of Hispanic immigrants who will continue to fill the manual labor positions that Americans are no longer interested in. These "new" Americans will be substantially wealthier than they would be in their native lands, but they'll be at the bottom of the ladder in our country. As a result, the middle class will shrink, and the gap between the wealthy and the poor will increase.

Florida will probably see an increase in it's Hispanic population, and the standard of living will likely stay the same, or slightly increase. Depending on the global warming patterns, Florida may become a less desirable place to live, as hurricanes will be more likely, and Florida lies in "hurricane alley." Glacial melting will continue to cause water levels to rise, but it's unlikely this will have any great impact in the next 14 years.

Hope you enjoyed this glimpse into the future.

In all honesty, I see nothing but gloom and disaster for America in the future. I'm all too afraid that by then we will be living in an iron fisted totalitarian police state by then with complete military rule. Anyone who openly dissents or disagrees will be either shot, or hauled away to some secret concentration camp. We also will likely be fighting in world war 3 by then as well.
