Now a days, not much. Nothing like in the old days when the REAL Movie Stars existed. Today, they can't say they are movie stars, they are just actors, if that.
Oh yeah, and the casting couch is very true. There have been a lot who have admitted to it, along with fake boobs, fake voices, fake bodies, fake everything. It's a joke and people buy into it.

It depends on why you want to be famous. Famous for doing good things is hard - take Mother Teresa the Indian Nun, or say Einstein - both had a life working hard Famous for being good - if you have a skill it is luck to be in the right place at the right time - say Robbie Williams, spent his younger days learning his trade and craft, but luck got him into Take That, more luck gave him 'Angels' and then the American market. Famous for sleeping with someone - easy if you are a girl (look at footballers and how many women they seam to drag into the newspapers), harder if you are a man - famous women are more picky and don't just want the pretty boys Famous for being bad - easiest - just shoot 5 people in a shopping centre and you get your 15 minutes of fame

When someone wants to become famous in the music industry my advice to them is to slip a 50 dollar bill into their hand and their reply would be....YOU GOT THE JOB!

Come from a rich family, become a regular on the party scene and get their pictures in the paper and online. Then, viola: instant fame. Just ask Paris Hilton.

Not much, it dosen't take alot of talent. Any idiot can become famous these days for just about anything.

Sing off key, or better yet, lipsync. Show a lot of skin. Take steroids, and get away with murder.

I wouldn't do it, but I think alot of people, sleep their way to the top, I read somewhere that Madonna did, but it might not be true.

IMHO they just have to be very good at what they do......tho it seems some of those would-be celebs have another opinion on that.
