My business teacher, when we would raise our hands to ask a question, she would say, "What's the beef?" =) I always got a good laugh. It is just an annoying way to say, "What is your/her/his problem?"

Hi- Basically "beef" means problem. So I could say, "What's your problem!" or "What's your beef!"

to me it is when someone has a problen with you and then you ask them what is your problem anyway.
