How do you prepare to take a shower? After the shower, do you dry yourself in the stall or outside of the stall where other guys can see you?

So they see you naked. Big deal.
Don't be so self-conscious. If they don't like it, then tell them to stop looking.

I'm assuming you are in an all men's dorm. There it is standard practice to undress in your room, wrap a towel around your waist and take your bar of soap to the shower room. Not cool to walk through the halls naked as this might be interpreted in a way that you didn't intend.
Dry off in the shower room, wrap the towel around your waist and head back to your room.
If it is a mixed sex dorm, which are more common than when I went to college, watch what other people do, both men and women and follow their lead.

Back in my college days, most of us just didn't care. We were there to take showers. One guy wore swim trunks, but we didn't hassle him over it.
