Its a matter of a sense of guiltiness that when one life disapperas, which his connected with deep negative and sad feelings, another one is being created which brings light and happiness.

Try to think your father is in the better place now, and he would definitely had liked taht idea of having a grandchild with his genes, who in some sense will make him last for longer.

A baby when wanted brings happiness

You need to make sure though you are not too stressed, and that u came to terms with his death and than GO AHEAD!

Best wishes

I really don't see the connection, sorry. Some people grieve for years, do you really want to wait that long, why not honor your father by living, do you think he'd want you to mourn and not move on with life by bringing a new little one into this world. If it's a boy honor your father by naming the baby after him.

Until you feel in your heart that you are ready. You don't have to wait any specific time period. If you want a baby it could be a nice way to grieve, move on with your life. Celebrate life some, not focus on the death. If you're ready your father would want you to do it.

If you wanted a baby before your sad loss, then don't wait.

If this has happended since the loss, then about 6-8 months to ake sure you are doing it for the right reasons.

Well if you are trying to conceive because of your father then i'd wait for a while until you can think straight. If not just wait until you are feling healthy and happy enough to become pregnant.. sadness can effect the baby.

If you were thinking about trying for a baby before you lost your Father, then it maybe the thing you need to take your mind off your loss.

Best of luck to you.

What I would suggest is don't try to have the baby's birth around the time of the one year anniversary of your father's death - this would bring sad memories on what should be a happy time. Apart from that, it might give you something to look forward to for the future. Do whatever feels right to you.

I agree with Vaz. But I also think that the loss of your father has shown you how precious life is and so it's a perfect time to create a new life; if it is a boy, give him your father's name.

I dont think you should wait. How wonderful will it be to bring a baby to life, and bring you the joy of your father. Its been said that for all who die a child is born. Of course it will be hard, but it will help you in grieving. during both of my pregnancy's i lost. with my daughter i lost my grandmother ( i was 6mos ) and i named my daughter after her Madisyn Jewell' and with my son i was 4 mos and my uncle died. I felt like although i was losing someone i loved that i would be bringing someone in their place ( but not exactly) good luck, but only you can tell whats right for you!
