About a month ago, after almost 13 years of taking birth control pills, I have stopped taken them(under doctor's orders). Due to some hormonal issues, not to mention my age, it was time to stop taking them. My husband and I went round and round, "whose gonna get fixed?" Anyways, after settling on the sponge for our birth control choice(he was adamant about not having children), he suddenly has decided that "if we have a condom/sponge, fine, if we don't, I'm not to worried about it." Does he want me to get pregnant, but won't say so, or is he just being irresponsible? I tried to get him to elaborate on his statement, but always responds, "It means exactly what I said." ?????

I think he is willing to take a chance and is ready to have a kid with you. I think it would be best to be strait forward about it and have a talk with him. Hopefully you can both agree on what you both want and come to an agreement.

He may be afraid of going through that surgury himself. If you plan to be with him the rest of your life and don't want any kids, make him do it. And if he refuses then he must want kids. Maybe he is just ready to let fate decide and is willing to take a chance.

Not sure if this will help, but good luck!

YOu should sit him down and get to the bottom of this you need to ask him and yourself if you want kids some people are fine with out a child but when you have a child it makes your life so much better it is hard at times but it is all worth it. Good luck

Maybe he assumes you can't get pregnant because of all the years of birth control? Do you want a child? If you do, tell him that you do, and then maybe he will open up about wanting the same thing or not. Good luck either way!

He either doesnt want to use protection for reasons being the loss of feeling or sounds very well that he might want to have a baby, Gte him one day by asking him if he wants kids and that u do, very soon. If he agrees for u to have a baby theres your answer,if he gets defensive then u got your answer there. Good Luck!

He's being a non-communicative, obstinate jerk about it. Force him to sit down and tell you EXACTLY what he means by his waffling. Ask him, Do you want to have a baby? Do you want me to get my tubes tied? Do you want to get a vasectomy?

Men do this when they don't want to be bothered with an argument. Well, make him argue. Otherwise, you'll never get a straight answer out of him...

It sounds like he's willing to take the risk. Sort of whatever happens, happens. But you both should be very clear on your wants for your life before taking any risk. Be sure it's a risk you both want to be taking.

Hard to tell. He may want a kid but doesn't know how to tell you that since he had been so adament about not having kids before or he may be saying that if you happen to get pregnant, he'd be okay with it.

He probably wants to have a child but the decision is yours. If you don't want one, grow up and get fixed.

Hard to say...maybe he's thinking it might be okay to have a kid. He might be letting destiny or fate or god or whatever you want to call it decide what happens.
