Baseball and the Boston Red Sox.
Plot summary:
According to Boston Red Sox super fan Ben Wrightman (Fallon), finding romance is just as likely as his beloved team winning the World Series. But then Ben meets Lyndsey Meeks (Barrymoore), and suddenly anything's possible. Well... until Spring Training begins, and Lindsey sees Ben on ESPN in Florida acting like an idiot. But these games don't count, and she knows that there may be trouble once the first pitch is thrown. But she seems fine about it, because as she competes for a promotion, she says Ben won't be affected by her at work all the time. But things really get out of hand when Lyndsey gets hit by a line drive foul ball off of Baltimore Orioles' Miguel Tejada, and the Sox begin to loose. The relationship picks up, but when Lyndsey gives Ben the opportunity to go to Paris with her, he turns it down, because Seattle's rolling in and the Sox are 3 1/2 games behind New York and Ben says that they need him. Later, the Red Sox are in the ALCS against New York, and fall behind three games to none. Then, Ben decides to sell his Red Sox tickets to make Lyndsey happy and say that he loves her. She's at Game 4, and Lindsey has to find a way to get him to stop selling his tickets, and can the Sox finally win it all?
Fever Pitch is the title of a 1992 book by British author Nick Hornby. The book is the basis for two films of the same name: a British film was released in 1997, and an American remake in 2005.
A 1997 film version of Fever Pitch, with a screenplay adapted by Hornby himself, fictionalised the story, concentrating on Arsenal's First Division championship-winning season in 1988-89 and its effect on the protagonist's romantic relationship. Colin Firth played "Paul Ashworth", the character based on Hornby.
A 2005 film remake of Fever Pitch, directed by the Farrelly Brothers with Hornby as an executive producer, starred Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore. In this adaptation (based on the 1997 film, not the 1992 book), the action is moved from London to Boston, the focus of the protagonist's obsession is shifted from football to baseball, and the story centers on the 2004 Boston Red Sox season, which culminated with the team's first Major League Baseball World Series victory in 86 years. This championship was entirely coincidental; the filming of the 2005 version was being done during the 2004 regular season, including scenes filmed at Fenway Park during actual games. As the Red Sox continued to progress through the playoffs, the Farrellys had to rewrite the script to include the historic moment. Fever Pitch was produced by ELC Productions Ltd., Fox 2000 Pictures, Wildgaze Films, Alan Greenspan Productions, and Flower Films.

Baseball, The Boston Red Sox. And the fans and their unholy obsession of not winning a world series in, like, 86 years.

whats up V! great q. :) :) :) I relatively have some action picture that i like, that revolve around all issues device. a number of them being Blade Runner, 2001: area Odyssey,The Terminator (1984 & 1991), The Iron vast, A.I man made Intelligence, entire remember and Wall-E. Blade Runner easily stands proud for me although. it relatively is the form of rich combination of robots and human beings. Has a neat embodiment of romance, faith and technological expertise subject concerns. relatively encompassing all issues sci-fi on an analogous time as (on the time of launch) putting a particularly severe benchmark for action picture neo-noir and cyber-punk. BA: Yep, Minority record. (there replaced right into a sale on DVDs and maximum of them have been movies i might already seen, yet I have been given a pair like MR which i presumed could be a valid investment, and that they have got been). :D BA2: somewhat over a million and a nil.5 hours to exhibit screen The King's Speech, (DVD participant replaced into being dodgy.) Bonus trivialities: errrrrr, I have not have been given any thought. i've got theory for an prolonged time with reference to the opportunities... (have oscar triumphing administrators/actors? nope. all have natalie portamn? nope...gah! this is complicated). regardless of if it will malicious program me so i'm going to edit if i think of of something. have not seen 'nearer' yet my maximum suitable guess could be "somebody dies in each and every of the movies" Pathetic guess, i understand. Lol. :P - You too, V!
