I don't see what the big problem is of accepting being black. She comes from two parents that are minorities. Period. I don't see her as French, or White or whatever anyone else says. She is a human being. And yes, most stars do lighten their skin because word is: light is right.

Why does it matter what someone is? Race isn't just the skin color, eye color, hair color (and type)... those things make up only1% of what makes up a person (DNA). Blacks can run the gambit of the rainbow from thick, curly hair to straight hair ; from light skin that can pass for White to dark skin and even reddish and what have you; from dark brown eyes to blue eyes; from black hair to blonde hair (and I'm not talkin' dye). We need to all get past this color-struck way of seeing people and see each other as HUMAN!!!!!

Mixed because of a great-great-great grandfather or something that was creole (said in a mag, by Ms Knowles herself) I don't think so, if that is the case them almost all black people can be considered mixed---- if you have to go that far back to prove you are mixed it is crazy lol

Dumbest post of the year so far.
For starters just about everyone is mixed with something in one way shape or form, so stop trying to put your finger on something like you are right and everyone is wrong.
Fact of the matter is, in the United States of America it only takes 1 drop of African ancestry of some form and you are considered black, or African American...what have you! In some states it's 1/16...yadda, yadda. (look it up if you don't believe me on this) We didn't make the rules.
So....... YES SHE IS BLACK.

SO WHATS YOUR POINT. I THOUGHT EVERYBODY KNEW SHE HAD CREOLE IN HER. ALSO ALL BLACK PEOPLE BORN IN THE U.S. ARE MIXED WITH MULTIPLE ETHNICITIES. DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE LIGHT OR DARK OR HAVE GREEN, GREY, OR BROWN EYES. SO YEA, SHE IS BLACK. IF SHE IS NOT BLACK THEN MOST OF US ARE NOT BLACK.
