Is there any way to restore the chrome finish on oven shelves which were left in during the cleaning cycle?

I've never done this so I don't know what condition they are in.
Did it turn the chrome dark?
Easy Off Oven cleaner may help. Spread out plenty of newspapers and spray over shelves. This is best to do outside and then hose off.
