Peace will break out in Iraq. We will finally be greated as liberators. The wall of the Grean zone will be torn down by Sunis and Shiites hand in hand, and a statue of Bush will be erected in the square as golden unicorns fly down from rainbows bringing frankensense and gold for every household. A stable democratic government will arise and the economy will be strong. Merry Lepracauns will dance in the streets. Tra la la la la.

Despite what America thinks, Hussein is being tried by his own people in his own country.
After this verdict is handed down he still faces 12 other trials for similar crimes against humanity and automatic appeals for each guilty verdict he may recieve.
I believe that once one trial and subsequent appeal hands down a guilty verdict with the penalty being death, he should be instantly executed. (there are a few posters on this site who should join him)
Either way, rioting will break out across Iraq, some people are always looking for a reason to display their civil unrest. Here in America, we have the same problem. It's worthy of mention that when OJ Simpson was found not guilty (????) no rioting broke out decrying the lack of justice in that case but let a policeman shoot an L.A. youth who deserves it and see what happens.

George Bush has killed twice as many Iraqi's since he invaded the country. In just a couple of years he's butchered double the number Saddam killed in 20 years. If Saddam hangs then its only fair George Bush hangs first. The dirtbag has condemned this tribal state to a civil war. Atleast Saddam maintained some semblance of order.
America deserves to be nuked off the face of the earth for its crimes against humanity. It is a cancerous growth.

I am not familiar with Iraqi law, but I would imagine the appeals process is a wee bit speedier than here. Aside from that there will be a spike in violence in Iraq and possibly abroad.

I'd rather see him rot in prison that hang. By hanging him your letting him become a mortar. I'm sure he will try and drag the appeals process out.

Of course he will appeal. Did you witness any of his behavior during the trial? And there will be rioting there, he does still have hi supporters and they are a hot blooded and violent people.
I would love to see his hanging though. I hope they televise it.

Hanging is too good. They ought to gas him in the public square but, do it slowly, a little at a time, so that it prolongs his agony.
3 thumbs down so far. What is so wrong with my answer? He's a genocidal maniac and deserves to die EXACTLY like the people he killed. End of subject...liberals, who needs them? Would a nice clean needle and some pentothal be more palatable? Sheesh!

I think you're in the wrong century. They don't do hanging as punishment anymore! LOL Maybe he should do community service like cleaning out toilets and sweeping the streets. I know that sounds too nice for him. Arrogant people need something that humbles them.

If you think there's a lot of violence over there now, just wait until then. I also think it'll hurt the
Republicans even more on election day since the war is already so unpopular.

I think all hell will break loose in Iraq. It'll drag out for years and he'll die an old man, in prison. That's what I think will happen.
