I'm currently working as a customer service at an apartment and gets pay $10/hr plus $100 bonus per month. I got hired at Saks and do not know how much they will pay me because it's mostly commission base. Should I take the job?

Here's what you need to do in order to make this decision:
1. Estimate how much you are likely to earn in the new position.
You need to know the commission rate (it might be a percentage of sales, such as 3%). Then you need to estimate how much you will sell per week (or per month). Talk to Saks about how much most people sell. Then multiply the commission rate times the estimated sales per month to see how much you might earn per month.
2. Consider how much your income might vary. Try to estimate how much your sales might vary from month to month, and consider how this will affect your income.
3. Consider how much savings you have. If you have a lot of money in the bank, you can accept some variation in your income. If you don't have any savings, then you probably can't accept a variable income.
4. You don't mention whether Saks also pays an hourly rate. My guess is that they will pay you a certain amount per hour PLUS a percentage of your sales. This will reduce the amount of variation in your income.
5. Compare the amount of income (and its variability) in the new job with the income you receive now.
6. Also consider the opportunity to learn more in a new job, the opportunity to be promoted (are there more promotion opportunities in the new job?), and whether you will enjoy the work more than what you are doing now.
7. Also consider benefits. Does one job provide better health or pension benefits than the other? That's like receiving a higher salary.
8. Finally, consider job security. Are you more confident of being able to kep your job where you are now, or in the new position? Is that a significant difference.

Think about all of these things. Then look into your heart and determine what you really want to do.

Good luck!

You must have been looking for another job, so you are probably not happy with your current position. Give the new job some serious consideration. Commission is often the best route to go. You are responsible for your income.

Don't simply mobile. Go to a potential paintings position in individual. Also, get dressed the way you could if you happen to have been going to begin operating there proper while you stroll in. Be positive within the interview, and seem the interviewer within the eye.

What is your gut instinct telling you? If you are extremely good at sales, then your commission should be pretty good. If you feel more comfortable at a steady salary, then you should stay at your present job. Trust your instincts. They never fail.
