Excellent. I love the texture and flow of the mountains. I think the foreground water...based on the light source and the style of water....should probably be a bit darker...at least dark enough to match the contrast in the mountains. And the whale could use a couple of sharp highlights at the front end...reflections of the 'source' of light on a wet surface.... but other than that...GREAT JOB, dear dirl!

It is well composed but I believe it lacks other shades of color. I know the scenery applies well to whites and blues that is needed. I see a lot of one color that you used. Maybe it was the only color you had available to work with at the time, I don't know. I think if you tried changing the degrees in your blues and intensity that is applied to shadow and depth it will look more realistic. The rocky areas are not too bad! i think if you tried making things more organic and erratic and curvy in some places will add even more realism. Bare rocks too. More of them and smaller pieces. All i can say is that this looks like a piece you see in store at aquariums and t-shirts they would sell. You did really well drawing this and please continue.

Darling, it lacks depth and variety in some areas, but you have a good grasp of working with light and are well on your way. Put this painting away and take it out six months from now and look at it, you will see what I mean. Don't give up your art.

You're a very talented lady. I love it. I'm very good at almost everything I do. The thing I lack is artistic skills. I can barley draw a circle. I'm a mechanical genius and an artistic imbecile. I have a very vivid imagination but all my ideas have to stay inside my head. I'm envious. I hope you're selling your work. Very nice. =)

underneath the whale in the water needs a darkening touch for a shadow, the water near the mountains needs to be darker, and the killer whale needs to have a little more shinyness OTHER THAN THAT IT IS AWESOME
