Not sure yet either, probably having a big boring dinner/lunch feast with 2 other families. It's going to be boring because all the old 40-60 year old adults talk and talk and talk about the same things over again, 'cause they forget, and the younger folks will be playing cards as usual, a boring tradition.
My dream Thanksgiving, when I have my own family, is having a Thanksgiving lunch/dinner starting at around 1 to 2 in the afternoon while talking about what we're thankful for as we eat. Containg of no more than 6-8 people, bringing the big screen in the dining room to watch football, taking a rest after lunch, have a muffin or cookies and coffee, or hot chocolate for the kids. And just talk leisurely, then start dinner and dessert. Finish with more coffee/hot chocolate and pie.
Part from the guests at around 8 or 9ish. Then at midnight, if we're not too tired, buy a fresh Christmas tree and ornaments, and start decorating.
Maybe it's make believe and silly, but I like it.

I just had the first grand-baby on both sides, so for the first time in our 6 1/2 year relationship both of our large families are all getting together to celebrate Thanksgiving and our new edition to the family, my 6 month old daughter Chloe Olivia Reece H. It will also be a lot easier than going to 5 different houses and Trying to eat that many times!! Which I didn't have a problem with that last year because I was pregnant!

in my family the tradition is that the family goes out to my grandma's brothers' and his wifes' house from noon until 9:30 pm. she wants us there at noon so we can have lunch together. and then for supper we eat the leftovers. the kids and some of us 17+ sit at the kitchen table and the adults sit at the dining room table.

I'll be getting together with my friends. We each bring a different part of the meal. This year I will be bringing the Sweet Potato Casserole.
