Okay so I am not a guy but I have had horrible acne since I hit puberty! On my face, chest, back, neck and shoulders. Here's my inexpensive fix (I have tight budget) that helps me. I wash my face with antibacterial foam soap twice a day. Once in the morning when I put on my make up (substitute your morning routine here) and once at night right before I go to bed. I use a light moisturizer that is oil free. If it gets horrible I have acne free (its 20 bucks at walmart for the set) and I throw some of that in. So all in all it costs me around 25 bucks for arounf a three month supply. Remember: Wash your face twice a day; lightly moisturize.
Oh I also have some of those "oil absorbing" cloths that you wipe on your face during the day that help keep the oil down. They are around 6 bucks but are great. I don't have the money for a dermatologist right now. I have to do the best I can and get by.

If the over the counter medications aren't effective, go see a dermatologist. The prescription medications like Differin gel should work. If the prescription drugs don't work, then only TIMEis your remedy. Most of the pimples and spots will diminish when you get older.
