I can't figure out why my parking lights won't turn off after my car is off. The only solution I can figure right now is to disconnect the battery. Advanced Auto can't figure it out. They do not automatically turn on anymore either.
Please help!
Thank you.

Check to make sure the switch that controlls this on the dash is not "accidently turned on"!--------- It is entirely possible!

There is a relay somewhere that turns them on automatically when the ignition key is turned on, (it bypasses the regular switch), - you could pull this relay out, and operate the parking lights "manually" if you wanted to (maybe the relay is shorted out, or burned out)! Your owners manual should tell you where it is (probably right by the fusebox)!

The "on & off" for the headlights works on the same principle, and the relay might be bad on that too, -- or maybe fuse blown?

There is a spring bringing the pedal back up to the original home position. This may be loose. You may also try looking at the light switch located above the pedal. This may be loose. Of course, you may need something like replacing some brake cable if you are mechanically inclined. OR, Take it to a mechanic to be checked and repaired.
