Both of my sons are circumcised. If it didn't turn out right I would do it again depending on their age. If they were young enough, like the day after the first one, they yes. If they are older then no.

I did, 16 years in the past, even as i develop right into a young person mom. on the time, I examine the recommendations that develop into accessible, which all stated to circumcise for well being motives. i concept i develop into making an recommended determination about what develop into ultimate for my son. fortunately, he had no issues from the technique. If I knew then, what i understand now, i do not have had it finished.

Absolutely not. I know everyone says it's cleaner and whatever but according to my doctor, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Sure, when they're young and can't wash themselves, you'd have to clean around and under the foreskin but eventually they wash for themselves. Men who are circumcised are less sensitive in the head of their penis than non-circumcised men because there is no protection for the tip against rubbing against clothing, which desensitizes it. The foreskin does NOT make a man dirtier than any other. It actually protects against some things, it just has to be cleaned regularly. Plus, it your kid wants it done later, they can make up their own mind and get it done surgically. Just so you know, they don't usually give babies pain medication when they do it.
Also, it's considered genital mutilation... like in Africa when they cut off a woman's clit.

I had my son cicumcised and went with him in the room. The risks are very low,and it's easier to clean them. It takes anywhere from four days to a couple weeks for the plastibell to fall off, but if you use two diapers (the extra one for padding) they are usually comfortable and only require Tylenol for a little bit. Recovery is usually quick, and I have not personally heard of any mess-ups where it has to be re-done. It is best to research the right Doctors, and use one who has done many procedures and is recommended by other moms as well as OB/Gyns and pediatricians. Ask around and interview first. If you use a good doctor, it is almost always fine. They use a numbing cream for about 10-15 minutes before, and they don't feel the pain. My son only cried b/c we took his clothes( he hates undressing) and we took his bottle(he was hungry). We gave them back after wards, and he was just fine. Some babies don't cry at all. He has never had problems as a result, and he is easier to keep clean. You can't always trust them to keep clean there themselves.

Never. It is cruel and has real benefits. Proper hygiene to the child, proper teaching of the child and you have a life without problems. It has been thus for centuries, millions of men throughout the ages lived fine without being circumcised, there's no need to "cut" off anything except the umbilicus.
The same way: I would not circumcise a girl.
It is painful and unnecessary.
You fear "touching" the area and you fear your son "touching" the area for hygiene. That is the issue.

well....my husband is not circumcised nor is his father or his father's father lol...so I am in obligation not too have him circumcised but lol I am having a girl so. but if I were to have a boy even if I wasnt in my obligation I dont think I would have him circumcised...because its soo painful on them...and people say that it is more sanitary but honestly...if you wash your baby like your suppose to and teach your son how to wash himself when he is older...then its perfectly fine. My little bro (6 months) had a really bad circumsision job done and you cant even tell he was circumcised and my mom isnt going to put him through that again...it was soo red and you couldnt hold him to tight around his diaper..if you did the poor boy would squeel...it was horrible..good luck

I have two boys, And neither one of them are circumcised, And if I ever have any more boys, They won't be either.
God put that skin there for a reason, Who am I to come along and allow it to be chopped off?!
My oldest son is now 8, And through proper teaching, Knows how to keep himself clean and infection free.
If, When he grows up, And wants it done, He can have it done himself. I didn't feel it was my place to do it. :-)

Yes we had my son circumcised and if the doctor knows what he's doing then it should be done right. I think it's more sanitary it's easier to keep all areas clean. It kinda depends on your religious beliefs. Some beliefs do not believe in it.
