Having headadches, bloated, stretchy feelings in my uterus very different for cramps, frequent urination, slight nausea, severe heartburn. Had a m/c 2 months ago had normal period Oct. 1st, and nuthing since then. Has anyone had a false negative on a pregnancy test after 1 week of being late? What was the reason for your late period if you were not pregnant?

Well - as I understand it, the ept test is meant to be the one of the better tests. In fact, I found this article which may help you. There was a lot more info there too. I found it at the ssite map at the top of the page.

Hope it helps you with this question. It helped us with other similar questions.

If your periods are irregular, or you are stressed- that would be a reason for being late.

HPT are not 100% accurate at any time. They only detect the HCG (pregnancy hormone) once it is high enough, it may not be high enough to detect yet. Try Frirst Response (fertility Dr recommended it-fewer false negatives) with morning urine, if negative try again in 2 days. ( I ovulated 1 week later than the fertility dr thought, so my tests did not show up at first I am 16 weeks-but I should be 17 weeks since LMP)

If you think you are, have the Dr do a blood test, they are rarely wrong.

Well, when I concieved my daughter I took several tests all of them came out negative, but I was a week and a half late. One day I took a test and accidentally left it out. Initially it read negative. An hour later I came back and before I threw it out I saw a faint pink line. I know that after like 10 minutes the reading would be valid but thats the only way that I did find out I was pregnant....waiting a while before I looked at the results...try that. Thing is, I didnt have any signs I was pregnant at all, no sickness no nothing just a week and a half late. I know it sounds stupid to leave a test out for an hour but it accidentally worked for me!

A false negative is much more likely than a false positive. Your symptoms sound pretty positive to me. Just take a deep breath & go to thee doctor. They will give you the same urine test like you buy in the store, and/or a blood test which is much more accurate. One more thing-don't rely on your period to tell you. My best friends mother had regular periods the whole 9 months. Sometimes it may take a while for your hormones to adjust to the fact that you're pregnant. Best bet is to either wait a few more weeks & take another test or go see your doctor. Good luck!

At this point you could have had three false negatives. Or since you had a m/c 2 mo. ago, you cycle could be changing. Give it another week to see.

COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS LIKE STRESS DEPRESSION ETC ETC THESE DAYS THEY (PREGNANCY TESTS) ARE ALMOST 100% POSITIVE IN PREDICTING PREGNANCY IF YOUR NOT SURE CALL YOUR DOCTOR TO SET UP A BLOOD TEST!
