well first when you go to get ur lip pierced you can ask if it will hurt or not, what to do after the piercing is done. You know like how you get ur ear pierced, you have to put the anticeptic? You can ask the person who is gonna peirce your lip what to do, something similar to the ear...

if you're doing it tonight, it will be sore tomorow. of course you know to use plenty of alcohol on the sight. before and after. then after you put your item in. please, i urge you to use some iodine. the stain will go away in a few hours. tomorrow, pour hydrogen peroxcide over your piercing. several times during the day. you don't want an infection. lips heal quicker than any part of the bod except the genitials. good luck

i peirced me own lip (that was a dumb idea) but i asked everyone i knew what to do...make sure your lip is clean (if you go to a professional make sure they at least clean off the area) then make sure the needle is clean too. The as soon as it is peirced clean it! sea salt workd well and any place you go to they will say clean it with sea salt! good luck hope i helped
