Someone like Jean Grey, with the power of telekinesis and mastery of it - since with that one power, you could duplicate almost all of Superman's powers:
1)Super strength - move something with your mind and make it look like you used your hands
2)Flying
3)Heat vision - stare at something and make the molecules in it vibrate against each other until it melts or spontaneously combusts
4) Freeze breath - make the molecules in something compact against each other, making it freeze solid
5) Invulnerable - make a telekinetic shield around your body, making it look like bullets just bounce off
The only powers you couldn't easily duplicate are super hearing, super telescopic vision, and x-ray vision.

Batman because he holds his own against superpowered people based on intellect and will.
If I had to choose a power then I would say the beyonder. I know not technically a hero but if I am going for a power then why not go for the whole hog.

Wonder Woman!!! I get to fly on an invisible plane and beat up bad guys with a cool wip. Ha ya! I also can use powerful bracelets that can protect me from bullets and other stuff, I can't remember. I can feel like a princess wearing a beautiful crown. Wait, isn't she a princess? I forget....Yeah. Plus I get to show off my sexy legs. Lol.

Batman or V for Vendetta.
No super powers, but extremely intelligent, deadly fighters, master of all kinds of weapons, KEWL gadgets, nice costume, and lots of money.
What's not to like?

He may have died at the beginnig of Infinite Crisis but the second Blue Beetle is Tight. Especially since right before he died he found the blue scarab.
