We was thinking about getting a siberian dwarf hamster, and we wanted to know how big they get, because we do not want one that gets really big. We know that they will not get very big, but we do not want a very big one.

i have a siberian dwarf my self.. and he is about 3 1/2 ''..
well, he's 8 months though, quite old for a sibern dwarf..
usually siberian wil grow until 4'' the most for males.. the females are much smaller..

i really recommed a siberian dwarf.. my siberian dwarf is really tame and friendly.. if you want a smaller one try the robo hamster.. but they are really fast runner.. once you lose them, it will be very very hard to catch it.. in other words, they are only good if you only see them, don't try to touch them..
I recommend you buying a siberian dwarf.. if you decided to buy one, let me know.. i'll give tips to tame your hamster ^^

Dwarf hamsters generally are the size of a regular to larged size chicken egg. These hamsters are excellent to watch but not good as friendly holdable pets. They bite about 99% of the time. That is why we don't sell them. If you want a small hamster that is friendly, get a robowrski hamster. They are small and very gentle. Cost a little more though.

They generally don't get any longer than about 2 inches long and about 1 and 1/2 inches wide. Beware of anything larger than that as it usually is a pregnant female. I bought a dwarf hamster for my brother a few years ago. He chose the "pudgy" one because he thought it looked cute. It gave birth to 7 babies about 3 days later.

No. a 10 gallon isn't even large sufficient for a million hamster. you favor to get a 20 gallon lengthy or better. The minimum cage length for a hamster is two.5 sq. ft. Hamsters extremely elect to run round thair cages and play and they can't attempt this for the period of tiny cages.
