OF COARSE , DIDN'T ONE JUMP OVER THE MOON

2006-11-04 11:09:00 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

It could be possible, but I think about 4 ft is probably a little too high. Of course there was the cow who jumped over the moon, but I think that cow was the exception to the rule, don't you?

Absolutely! I saw it done. I was at a sale for bucking stock cows in Guthrie, OK a few years ago. They had portable panels about 5 ft. high in the arena to contain the cows. I saw one of the Brahma heifers they were selling jump the portable panels flat footed (no running start). I had thought it might be fun to raise bucking bulls, but changed my mind after seeing that! I assume that cows, like people, have differing degrees of athletic ability depending on their size, breed, etc. I don't think one of our Black Angus cows could jump that high, but then again, a cow will sometimes surprise you too.

Yes, we had a cow who managed to get over a gate, 4 - 5 feet high, cut her leg and bent the top bar of the gate in the process though!! And her daughter jumped it too, we had to get a piece welded onto the top of the gate, made it 6 -7 feet high, that kept them in!!

Yes.
Not as graceful as a deer, of course, but we had a cow one time that was a jumper. Couldn't keep her contained easily, and a four foot fence was not much of a challenge. She was an exception, though, I think.

Yeah, they can. I used to milk cow (weird, eh?) and they can actually move and jump better than I thought. There was one who would jump an electric fence to get into another farmer's field.

Depends how hard you kick them. You can make them do it by applying a red hot poker to their balls as well, only its more amusing.
