How do I know when Im gonna get it? What age?

from your avatar I assume you are a female. What you didnt say was how old you are. If you are 12 or older consider your self done growing unless you grow sideways from eating to much. In other words you wont get any taller and your feet wont get any bigger either. Picture yourself like the frame of a house that is built. The only thing now is to fill it in. And from 12 to 14 is when this filling in takes place and the hips will shape and so on.
Boys dont finish building thier frames until they are 16 and some not untill 18 and then they fill them in. No matter what size you are be it large or small be happy with it because it is yours and noone else in the world can have it which makes it special and makes you special. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Growth spurts vary a lot by age the older you get, but there are some ways to tell if it might be happening soon. People grow from the ends first, meaning your hands and feet will get bigger, then your arms and legs longer, and finally your torso will catch up. Changes in shoe size may be a good indicator. Also normal prior to a growth spurt is increased appetite and minor weight gain not attributed to increased inactivity. When you're growing, you will also need more sleep because that's the time when your body absorbs growth hormones and actually grows. If you're in your teenage years and a girl (already having your period) you may not have a "spurt", but a gradual growth.

If aunts and uncles are taller than your mother and father, you will likely land somewhere in between 5'3" and 6'0". Girls often grow faster than males but don't lose heart. I didn't get my full height until I graduated high school and went to college. I'm 6'1.5" now but was almost the shortest in my 9th grade class. You are in puberty it sounds like and that is so very, very hard. Expect there will be a dividing of your friends between those who get their growth, heighth, curves, muscles, sooner...and those who take longer. But if your develpment physically doesn't come as quickly now, focus on beating your competition intellectually through good grades or skills. For me, I kicked bootie playing piano like the wind, but I practiced at it, knowing this was the best I could do for now versus worrying that I was shorter than others. Concentrate your energies on those things you can win at. Outside of hormone therapy, there is nothing you can do to grow taller faster. You are going through hell right now, I know. And I sympathize with you, I really do. It will get better though so don't lose heart. Gymnastics, karate, dance, power lifting, wrestling, rugby, football, and tennis are all sports where height is not critical and a lower center of gravity works to the athelete's advantage. Keep the faith in yourself and try something new if what you have been trying isn't working out the way you planned.

just before my brother got his growth spurt, he started to have a bigger appitite and was getting heavier, which was just his body preparing to grow a few inches, once he got his growth spurt he was really tall and lean. you normaly have one during puberty, other signs are growing pains, pains in your body...which mean you're growing. good luck!
