Teething babies have excess drooling, fussiness, may chew or bite things, and may act cranky or tired, and may seem hungry without eating much. A good thing to give them is a clean frozen rag to chew- it will soothe their gums, or a piece of natural leather that cannot be bitten off or swallwed. Also use ice cube to rub the gums or use Baby Oragel or similar made-for -baby remedies. If baby gets a fever and/or sick with teething symptoms, call a doctor ASAP.

excessive drooling
crying while eating
a good remedy is to buy those type of popsicles that come in the long, slender plastic. Use sissors to round off the sharp corners. Poke a small hole on one end and let the baby (if it can hold it ) chew on the end with the hole. The coldness will numb the pain somewhat and the baby gets the melted juice from the popsicle.

He/she may be drooling excessively, gums will appear red and irritated, puffy also. Probably will want to bite down on some things (take a clean washcloth, wet it and freeze it for about 15-20 minutes, and give it to her to bite down on). That will provide some relief. She may have a slight, (maybe about two degrees higher) fever. Baby Orajell works really well; try that.
