I don't know how to start my paper. It is whether or not high school schould be increased to 5 years. I think it shouldn't.

1. open with an attention-getting statement about the problem, which is controversial (should or should not be increased to 5 years);
2. say what you will do in your paper: for example, you may want to provide arguments for and against;
3. in the development of your paper, compare and contrast both sides of the story, giving good, solid examples;
4. by the end of the paper, state your own point of view;
5. in the conclusion, you should recap what you intended to do, showing that you have reached your goals.

In other words, the introduction should outline each step. It reflects what you will write about. And the conclusion recaps what you have just written.
