Fresh from the farm.

1. pre-cut trees don't last long.
2. real, fresh trees smell sooooooo good!
3. Splurge! It's Christmas!

When I was a kid my family would go out and cut one from the woods, not a tree farm.(We live in a very rual area) As an adult now I have cut and bought a few from the tree farms. The past couple years I have used an artificial. It's easier with little space, kids, and a cat. I'll eventually go back to the real deal. Plus, it hurts so damn much when you step on the pine needles. You're still digging them out of the carpet at Easter.

I get a large real one delivered yearly from a farm in North Carolina a week before Thanksgiving. Then I have 2 fake trees I use in the family room and the Kitchen.

BTW, X takes the Christ out of Christmas....

I use an artificial tree since I am so into recycling and saving the trees. If I want the Evergreen aroma, I use soy candles with the scent.

I usually skip putting up a tree. If I do I buy a fresh tree from a lot.

We have an artificial one that's pre-lit. For some reason the live ones always die on me at least a week before xmas, so I gave up on them.
