15(s-3)=12s-43
first you distribute the 15 to the s and the 3 so you get 15s-45=12s-43
Then you subtract 12s from both sides leaving you with 3s-45= -43
then you add 45 to both sides and you have 3s=2
then you divide both sides by 3 and your answer is 2/3.
Hope I helped!!

15(s - 3) = 12s - 43
1) distribute 15s-45=12s-43
2)subtract 12 on both side 3s-45= -43
3) add 45 on both side 3s=2
4) divide by 3 on both side s=2/3

15s - 45 = 12s - 43
15s - 12s = -43 + 45 (take s to one side)
3s = 2 (DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY 3)
s = 2/3
