Really Chicky??? As a bartender, I don't see anything to be thankful about the fact that you self righteous bullying twits went ahead and bullied patrons away, for your ACTUAL WHINNING SELF SATISFACTIONS! You DEMANDED and bitched about smokers in a bar, to which they have done NO WRONG to ANY OF YOU, but you used the air, despited our noticeable filtrations systems that we spent more than enough to have installed to satisfy your selfish UNSATISFACTION... All you cared about was to find ANY excuse to get the smokers out. And after a few days when it became law, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE NOW??? NO, I don't see any of you non-smoking complacent losers in the bar at all. To top it off, these smokers were far more courteous, than you people were to them!
You know what else? a lot of my patrons are people with great wealth, and they smoke... Because of people like YOU, they don't come as often, if not, at all... And you have the audacity to tell me about being thankful??? Why don't you work behind the bar and tell me how thankful you'd be in an empty establishment, your patrons are outside and your tips are low... You people can't even spend for a beer and your tips are cheaper than the cost of a gumball. And yet, after YOUR whining about not being able to go to a bar because of smokers, you don't even show your face after bullying to get your way! Where the hell are you now??? I don't see you around! Maybe that's where I should be thankful to you, because I wouldn't have to worry about you selfish anal retentive idiots getting a bottle cracked over your head for the trouble you've caused, personally and economically... You stupid little hypocrite!!!

To each their own but, so it seems, unfortunatly, nobody cares anymore about balance and comprimise. Nobody cares anymore about anything but whatever they can make excuses for. Older people have been around to know what it is of... Younger people just don't get it and won't get their facts straight at times... But I can't say it's everybody. Some have an idea. Smoking has been an issue where, really there's never going to be a winning solution, if both sides remain stubborn, as I've seen from all of you, including myself in other areas. Always a bashing... Gays, Women, Men, Blondes, other cultures... But when we get into something like smoking, in a bar (of all places), or on a balcony, even from the way it's going, under a tree... This has become pety in all forms.
What satisfaction do you get out of it? "We can finally breathe!"... Well, It's a real surprise for you to say that, and even make it seem like it's been that noticeable that you couldn't breather before... after all, since you can finally breather now, you should've been dead a long time ago from suffering from lack of air herein. While every non-smoker is making an issue over smoking and breathing, I just wonder how many of you smoke joints and tell me about why it is so good, after saying a cigarette isn't, and you compare it as worse than city smog, car exhausts and what more... You can't breathe from something like a cigarette and make pety issues over it, but yet you can still breathe in a non-smoker environment, laddened with smog, exhaust, chimney smoke, etc... Are you really going to tell me that smoking, if anything in an establishment where they have good ventilation to cater to you people, or whatever the vicinity, you're going to convince yourselves that a cigarette smoker, unlike a smokestack, or a car, is really what's the number one killer? Or, are you people just too busy with nothing better to do, than to make trouble for nothing... And this smoking issue really is nothing... I don't care wht the tabloids say, or the commercials of these people blaming smokers for their oxygen tanks, smoking was not to blame for their problem... it was the environment in general... Here's a little secret... One of those people in the smoking commercial was in fact an auto-mechanic.

Because we live in America, and we should have rights. We pay LOTS of tax when we buy them. Hey, maybe people that eat junk food all the time, trans-fatty food and such that cost tax-payers alot more than smokers, should pay extra tax . They wind up with heart disease, diabetes, amputations. We can't tell people what to eat, so why should we tell people they can't smoke? We know its unhealthy, but in America, it should be a choice.

You must be young. I don't smoke but I want to execute anyone who says people can't smoke in bars.
This used to be a free country, By The Way. Since you kids don't like freedom, why don't you leave instead of ruining everything our forefathers fought and died for.

well if it wasn't for smokers the vat would be alot more and they pay for the smokes so why can't they smoke them, in the end it should be up to the person if they smoke or not not the gov. for one thing the gov said at first that smoking is good for you and then they say it isn't. people have the right for freedom, we won that right and yet it seems to be getting taken away from is bit by bit.

Its supposed to be a free country! Smokers are entitled to choices too. Dont worry about my health, I am capable of worrying myself.
Make smoking illegal altogether and then tell me where I can smoke.
Enjoy your low taxes whilst you can as we are paying out for you.

Well if it's bad for you don't smoke! Oh, you don't? So what is the problem?
I think I am old enough to decide how I go about killing myself?

I don't know why they started in the first place...I can remember in 1969 everyone around me in the Navy was doing it but I refused to. Why? Because that's about the time we all became aware that smoking was bad for our health so I decided why get hooked on something that's bad for me?

Exactly - in Scotland smoking is banned in pubs - they all have to stand outside and as you say, they are getting fresh air. Also a good way of meeting people I would have thought.
