I live in the good ole USA (In Texas) and I wouldn't mine living part of the winter in Ireland. The people are friendly and they know how to drive defensively.
PS...their beer blows ours away. Plus from Ireland I could go to the UK, and the rest of Western Europe.

I would pick Hue, Vietnam. It is a very old city. It was capital of Vietnam at one time and has this massive citadel (castle). The Perfume River flows through the city and has little cafe's along it. Even with all the people there it is very peaceful and beautiful. Oh, the food is so good and it is close to a great beach too.

New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich, Vienna, Berlin.

I want to live somewhere cold (I'm not a warm weather person), cosmopolitan, and fairly safe and civilised. Any of the above will do.
